This past February Ace Marketing and Crocs footwear ran a proximity marketing campaign at the 2010 Winter Olympics. Multiple Crocs retail locations in and around the Olympic grounds were equipped with proximity units. Olympic spectators who walked past the retail locations received Crocs coupons and promotions. In the spirit of the games, Crocs increased their incentives from 25% off to 50% off when the Canadian Hockey team made the finals to cheer them on for the Gold Medal. It was a spectacular Winter Olympics and an exciting time for mobile marketing.
